Twin Drum Press is basically a Refined Decker Thickener used for dehydration of pulp stock prior to Hot Disperser twin drum press 1 / Kneader. The maximum the dehydrated stock the better the Dispersing / Kneading.

Principle:
The stock enters under the vat is filtered and dehydrated naturally by Twin Drums wrapped with different wire mesh size. The drums are pressed pneumatically with air cylinders/ bellows and the stock is dehydrated between twin wire drums. The dehydrated stock is scrapped with the help of 2 scrapping polypick doctors and is carried by the screw conveyor for further processing in Hot Dispersor or Kneader. It is equipped with 2 nos of V.F.D for various defined controls.

Features:
Powerful dehydration with high outlet Consistency from 20 – 28 % for an Low inlet consistency of 3 to 5 %. Very Low specific power due to natural vacuum and drainage system. Easy to regulate the outlet stock consistency against varying inlet consistency with variable drive & pneumatic loading system. High yield rate. Easy maintenance due to rugged quality. Minimum space requirement because of compact design.

Washing Ssystem:

• System can be used for washing the pulp with inlet consistency 0.8% to 1% and outlet consistency can be achieved between 15% to 16%.
• Water consumption will be 1500 to 2000 Ltr. Per ton.
• Power consumption is very less for 30 to 40 T/Day capacity unit between 7.5HP to 10HP only.
• Decrease the Chemical Consumption.
• System can work in continuous process instead of batch system in comparision of Potcher washing system.
• The system are having magnetic catcher arrangement to remove the small particals from the pulp.
